I tried to get them all, we are only allowed 20 items per vote, next time I'll know to limit it there.
Good luck!

Brendan, do us a favor and paste it into a reply message because they aren't hyperlinking this way, and to cut and paste all that would be very time-consuming. Or go one better, just post the Haiku's here and give them registration numbers or something.
Thanks.

I relate best to wpshreve's sentiment, and so voted for that one, but Marie gets points for the best effort at actual poetry.

I can't edit the poll for some reason. Just mark your vote here in the comments if you don't see the one you liked.

excellent words

Tazuri, your second one reminded me of this one that I wrote in the summertime:
sorrow of war
child's cry in the night
bomb has found it's deadly site
small limbs strewn on ground

crward, I love your haiku so you get my symbolic vote also.
I suppose I won't commit suicide if I lose this contest. However, I am not used to failure and am very confused and depressed by this unusual situation so I may just do it anyway. First I must spend some time in meditation and medication so as to understand what has befallen me.
I suppose I can eventually adjust to life going on if shawneedaughter wins instead of me, and that is because

LOL
You mean YOU have electricity in YOUR part of M O K A N

I'm starting to feel as if I live in Barbados....the Barbados with the sub zero temps. :D

We lost power for 4 days and then when it came back on we lose power for a bit each day, usually the time that I sit down at the computer. Before the storm, wpshreve, there was a car accident 'down the road a piece' LOL :D and we lost phone service for 5 days. I think a cow wandered out in the road and some sumabitch hit it.

I went from living right outside NYC, where you can get GOOD Chinese food at any time 24/7 to living in East Bumble F**k. LOL
