Shoot. Guess I better toddle off to bed.

We passed each other, just like ships in the night Pegatha... doh.gif

And I missed all the anticipation.

Lot's of the posts brought a smile to my face. I remember oh so carefully, asking permission to Report Abord in to The original Reporting Aboard...(me and Redbird...) I would always make sure some member from the military did the offical Welcome Aboard when a newbie ventured in. Oh those were the days, then the head aches, then the fury..then the triumph like tonight.

CONGRATULATIONS NOONAN!!!!
But congratulations to all of us too...WE DO what people talk about doing, but never seem to accomplish, either politically or sometimes in friendships or relationships either. We totally accept each other for who we are, no matter our beliefs lifestyles, we are true, blue, always their for you friends. We have proven it over and over..some being banned, some leaving in support, some taking time out once in awhile, yet always, always..we unconditionally care about one another for keeps. We do what we can do, keep contact when we can, and I for one, am so proud and honored to be a member of this incredible, wonderful diverse crew!

Thank you all so very much! (Oh Gawd..Joe is going to go get the duct tape again.)

Ok - roll call, sound off -

Red Bird - Have you any signs of Spring..it is dumping snow here, gonna last till next week, I am lucky I got home in one piece.

Pie - I know you have been visiting Mickey...I'm emailing you, if I don't get a response, I'm organizing a search party!

Marine - Are you still sticking holes in the ground planting your corn?

Fly - how is the itching and and pain..and (give me the allowance...thank you so much for so long ago, welcoming me Aboard)

Heart - Were you in chat..hows life in the South. You have good instincts, would be freezing to death if you were with me now.

KT - How is it going..

WS - Whatcha up to..

Gabby - so nice when you drop in.

Brookie - Happy Anniversary to you and Mrs Brookie BTW - Mrs. Brookie is not Brookiesgram is it????

Vets (gonna have to trap you into a post milestone real soon here.) What a wonderful family you have.

Desron - hope the little woman is ok, give her my best..oh, add my email so I can add to her list of all the things you are doing wrong, ok? BTW - grocery stores have flowers and you can deliver a beautiful bouquet in person..make the bleep card, you are a net techie...

GUNNY - In spirit, thinking of you, and kids and piggies and Chesty..remembering the good ole days..(fly please pass this on.)

amy - I think you are incredible!

Sandra - Thank you very much...for your efforts, your spirit and determination.

Snuffy - Hope you are feeling better. And you could go into business for being a "one stop shop" for the latest breaking news. Thank you.

another nod to Pegatha for always, always being there for me.

Joe - other then duct taping me to the wall and leaving me there...you made the water fairy come alive..and while I've looked, found nothing that has suited me better.

CO - As I have told you and told you, SO VERY HAPPY YOU HAVE JOINED US....

BigTom - Just getting to know you, remember you well from the Kerry days...Boy, do you fit in here.

Indianhead - Hello! If you are still out in your garden, time to come and check in with the gang!

Anybody I missed? Sorry about that...just stopped typing..I need to take a breath..

Thinking about ALL of you tonight, snowy, looks like January and there is no end in sight...Some April Fool's joke right? (NOT)

Now I'm going to make you all pay a penance by giving you the link to the results of picking on me ! .. I'm kidding of course but here it is if any of you are interested..

I'm bummed because I have to go take a shower and go to work again.

Well, I'll feel better once I get there.

Hi - Thanks for asking. I am on Day 3 of the Z Pack and it is starting to kick in. I'm still feeling marginal, but better than yesterday. Slept a little better last night. But I've got a day or two to go. I'm hoping to get off my duff tonight and watch some of the Final Four. I'm rooting for LSU and GMU.

There was more than a few who were held to be persona non grata.

Most of the time it was because we were standing up for the truth about military and veterans in general.  Our compulsion to take our stand was brought on by a few vets who had 'nothing good to say' about the military, and one in particular who pi$$ed and moaned about the screwin' he was getting from the VA.

But, as it is in most cases, the guys in the white hats prevail...

I also remember a boy from Boise who liked to pretend he was someone he wasn't might have instigated some of that poop too.

He never would tell me where he went to boot camp, everytime I asked he disappeared or changed the subject. Had he told me where he went to boot camp he knew I had a follow up question and he would have been busted.

Getting banned is ok sometimes. I used to be an absolute pita to Lindsay Howerton on the Washinton Post Forum.

Sandra and Michael have much more patience when I get unruly. Since I've got to know them online I think of them more as friends than as adversaries though.

It's sure nice to have her back in the protective arms of the US military men and women and on her way back to her family! I love that she's turned in her head veil for a camoflage jacket and blue jeans! And her shocked stare for a smile.

It's nice to see her safe again.

mtnmagic,

I'm in West Virginia. You iknow those yellow bushes that come out every spring. Ours are pretty much in full bloom. The trees are just barely starting to get buds in some areas but I think the cherry trees by the school are in bloom. I think it's probably a bit too early. I'll go look it up and see. I'm starting to get a serious case of spring planting fever. Oh, also the daffodils are out - just starting. Many haven't bloomed yet.

Probably not time for roses yet.

Cherrry Blossoms are peaking in DC although I've been too sick to see them. I'm hoping to be better enough tomorrow to get out and see them before they are washed away by rain. The daffodils are out aplenty. The forsythia has been blooming for almost a week. But the last frost date for this area is May 11th - if that matters for planting roses.

Although its against my better judgement . . oh what the heck.

A couple of drinkin' buddies, who are airplane mechanics, are in the hangar at Logan; it's fogged in and they have nothing to do. One of them says to the other, "Man, have you got anything to drink?"

The other one says, "Nah, but I hear you can drink jet fuel, and that it will kinda give you a buzz."

So they drink it, get smashed and have a great time; like only drinkin' buddies can do.
The following morning, one of them gets up and is surprised he feels good, in fact, he feels great - NO hangover! The phone rings, it's his buddy.

The buddy says, "Hey, how do you feel?"

He said, "I feel great!"

"I feel great too! You don't have a hangover?"

"No -that jet fuel is great stuff - no hangover - we ought to do this more often."

"Yeah, we could, but there's just one thing....."

"What's that?"

"Did you fart yet?"

"No"

"Well, DON'T, 'cause I'm in Phoenix!"

How 'bout some more Jury Duty Humor

Now, as a public disservice, our legal expert, Percy Perjury, offers these helpful hints on "How to Get Off Jury Duty:"

• Paste a tattoo on your arm that says, "Hang 'em high!"

• When being questioned by attorneys, before answering each question, flip a coin.

• Wear a hangman's noose for a necktie.

• Bring the prosecuting attorney a cake that says "Happy Birthday, Uncle Harry."

• Insist on being sworn-in on a copy of "Batman" comics.

• Wear a white sheet and a hood and keep repeating, "I ain't prejudiced against nobody!"

• Bring your own sackful of evidence and pass it around to all prospective jurors.

• Learn to whistle "The Prisoner's Song" very loudly without moving your lips.

• Tell them you have to leave early every day to get back to the Half-Way House.

Thanks Joe, now you all know why I wanted to take care of any Latvian's which anyone found.

Now I want to remind everyone (except you Joe, Arizonans don't do this foolishness) that tonight the clocks magically loose one hour. That means if you use to get up at 0600 now you will need to get up at 0500 to play this silly game called "Daylight Savings Time".

For me it means for the next six months I have to get to work by 0900 instead of 0800. Try as hard as I could, the chickens and ducks have never been able to grasp the concept of eating while it's still dark outside. Maybe they are not as dumb as they look.

I'm not going to wade through seven pages of posts in that other forum to say this Des -

I think the lack of effect the fearmongering has had upon our daily lives is a factor of where we live. Since KI closed down, the only reason to attack the UP would be the possibility a nuclear explosion might lessen the number of mosquitoes. People I have talked to from larger coastal cities still live in fear, perhaps with some reason, perhaps not. Sitting at a Packer game and having to explain before the game to people from the East Coast that it is ok if we see a passenger plane coming close and low to the stadium is okay because the airport is nearby is a reality, perhaps fostered for political purposes by those in charge.

Enough, this is too heavy for here. I'm just greatful for where we live.
